Police first went to Stewart’s home on Windgap Avenue on January 8 after she reported a burglary. However, when they arrived, they found two boys who appeared to be drunk. Their breath reportedly smelled of alcohol, and they told officers a woman had made them drink and touched one of them inappropriately.
Officers noticed Stewart watching from her upstairs window before she came down to talk to them. They described her as being “extremely intoxicated.” She claimed the neighborhood kids were “pranking” her and called them “drug dealers.” She also said nothing about the burglary she reported.
The boys told police they were offering to shovel snow from driveways for money, and Stewart hired them for $5. They said she later invited them inside for hot chocolate but started giving them alcohol instead. One boy said she kept refilling his glass with vodka until he threw up.
One boy claimed that while they were sitting on the couch, Stewart put her leg over his, touched his shoulders and legs, and then moved to his crotch. The other boy allegedly recorded part of the incident on video before they left the house.
Stewart denied the boys had been in her house, but police found a coat belonging to one of them on her couch and a half-empty vodka bottle.
She was arrested and taken to the Allegheny County Jail, where she posted $1,000 bail. Stewart is scheduled to appear in court on January 22. It is unclear if she has entered a plea or hired a lawyer.
