As part of a plea agreement, District Judge Joseph Seidlin ordered Mure’s sentences to be served consecutively. He will be eligible for parole after serving 22 and a half years.
Additionally, Mure was required to participate in a Victim-Offender Dialogue, a program where survivors can meet offenders to seek closure, facilitated by trained professionals.
This is not Mure’s first serious conviction. In 2016, he was convicted of vehicular homicide after a 2015 crash that killed 22-year-old Scalicity Boyd, a passenger in his car. Mure was driving 86 mph when he hit a utility pole. He served a minimum sentence of three years before being released.
