More women have come forward with allegations of sexual assault against author Neil Gaiman, known for his popular works like “The Sandman”, “Good Omens”, and “Coraline,”.
One of the women, Scarlett Pavlovich, alleged that Gaiman assaulted her while she was babysitting for him and his ex-wife, Amanda Palmer, in their New Zealand home. She also claimed that the abuse escalated during her time as their babysitter, including a disturbing incident involving the use of butter as a lubricant and an alleged assault in a hotel room with his child present.
Another woman, identified as Caroline, shared a similar experience. She claimed to have had a physical relationship with Gaiman while working as a caretaker at his home.
Caroline alleged that Gaiman forced her into inappropriate situations, including an incident where he climbed into bed with her and his child.
Other women, such as Katherine Kendall and Kendra Stout, also accused Gaiman of sexual misconduct. Kendall claimed Gaiman attempted to have sex with her and later gave her $60,000, while Stout alleged that Gaiman raped her in 2007 when she was 18 years old.
According to the allegations, Gaiman’s business manager later offered some of the women payments in exchange for signing non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Pavlovich reportedly signed an NDA and received $9,200, while Caroline was offered $5,000 to leave his property.
In January 2023, Pavlovich filed a police report, but the case was closed after Gaiman and Palmer declined to speak with authorities. Gaiman has denied all allegations since 2023.
Despite the accusations, Gaiman has continued his work but stepped back from producing the third season of *Good Omens* on Prime Video.
