Surveillance footage from the bar shows Kraig and Jenny, 49, sitting together before Kraig steps outside to smoke. He retrieves a gun from Jenny’s Chevrolet Tahoe and returns to the bar, where Jenny is sitting near Logan, 43, who was bartending.
Kraig pulls the gun from his waistband and shoots Jenny in the head, then fires at Logan. Before leaving, he shoots Jenny a second time as she lies on the floor and fires three more shots at Logan. Kraig leaves the gun on the bar and drives away in Jenny’s car.
Jenny died later at the hospital, while Logan was pronounced dead at the scene. Kraig was arrested the next day, August 28, 2023, while driving his wife’s car on a highway in Missoula County.
In court, Kraig claimed he couldn’t remember the details of what happened after the confrontation. He testified that Jenny had told him she planned to go home with Logan instead of him. “I went outside, and I’m pretty sure that’s why I went outside … and was going back into the bar and having the last conversation,” Kraig said.
Before his sentencing, Kraig apologized, saying, “I too lost my best friend that night … the love of my life. Shooting two people in a bar, with witnesses, are not actions with memory. Having no memory is no excuse.”
Investigators revealed that Kraig had made phone calls from jail discussing paternity tests for the two daughters he shared with Jenny. Jenny’s daughter Paige called Kraig “narcissistic” during her statement in court, while Jenny’s father, Terry Savage, broke down in tears, saying, “Jenny was my only daughter, the joy of my life, my best friend.”
Both Jenny’s and Logan’s families are left grieving the devastating loss.
