A 28-year-old man from Louisiana has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 14-year-old girl from Tennessee and taking her to his home for sex.
Alexander Materne was charged with several crimes, including kidnapping and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. According to police, Materne met the girl online while playing a video game and arranged to pick her up from her home in Tennessee.
On December 23, Materne allegedly picked up the girl and took her to his home in Louisiana, where they engaged in sex. He then dropped her off in a wooded area with a tent, food, and water.
The girl’s family was able to track her down and alert the authorities. Materne was arrested and confessed to the crimes. He is facing additional charges, including human trafficking and carnal knowledge.
The girl was found safe and in good health, and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Materne is being held in jail pending further investigation.”
