Tony Bennett’s daughters, Antonia and Johanna, are accusing their brother Danny of mishandling their late father’s money.

Tony died in July 2023 at age 96. The daughters filed a lawsuit in June, saying there were missing assets in their father’s estate.
They and their other brother Dae are all beneficiaries of The Tony Bennett 1994 Family Trust, but Danny is the only trustee in charge.
In November, Danny tried to move the case to another court or have it dismissed.
On January 3, Antonia and Johanna asked the court to deny Danny’s request, claiming they have “serious concerns” about how he managed the trust.
Their lawsuit says Danny took large amounts of money for himself and his children—sometimes writing checks from the trust without explaining why.
They say he also collected monthly payments of \$50,000 for himself on top of commissions he earned as Tony’s business manager. The daughters argue that when Tony’s health declined, Danny was left in complete control and wasn’t supervised.
A source close to Danny says that he worked with Tony for decades and acted only in his father’s best interests.
According to the source, Tony planned his estate carefully, and Danny simply carried out those wishes. The daughters, however, want more transparency.
They say Tony intended for all his children to be treated equally, and they believe Danny has not followed that plan. They also claim Danny made decisions, like selling assets from the estate, on the grounds that Tony was running out of money—yet still took large payments from the trust.
Tony’s daughters have asked the court to make Danny give them a full record of his actions.
Danny’s lawyers and other family members named in the lawsuit argue that Antonia and Johanna don’t have the right to see those records until after Tony’s death, and they consider the request “premature.”
