He confessed to the involvement in the deaths of Terrill Lehman, 41, and Charles Webster, 46, who were reported missing in December 2014. Despite extensive searches, their bodies have never been located.
During his confession, Barnett revealed that at the time of the murders, he and his child’s mother, who has since passed away in 2022, were living with Lehman and Webster.
He admitted that they both participated in stabbing the victims, dismembering their bodies, and disposing of the remains in trash cans throughout the city.
According to the police, Barnett identified Lehman and Webster from photographs and even wrote confessions like “I stabbed her” and “I killed him” on the pictures.
Following his confession, Barnett was charged with first- and second-degree murder. Details regarding whether he has obtained legal representation or entered a plea are not yet clear.
