A man from Louisiana, who suffers from schizophrenia, has been charged with killing his baby son, sister, and nephew, according to authorities.

A family member explained that the man and his child had been living with his sister before the tragic incident on Thursday.
The man was taken to a mental health facility after he started hearing voices and behaving aggressively. He was given a new medication, but the staff declined to admit him for inpatient treatment, even though his family begged for help.
“No one in that house survived because the mental health system failed him,” the relative said.
They added, “If he had been committed, he would be getting the help he needs, and my family members would still be alive.”
