A family in North Carolina is searching for answers after 25-year-old Heather Williams was found dead days after she was last seen getting into a car.

Six days later, on January 10, police found her body in a wooded area and confirmed it was her. Investigators are treating her death as a homicide.
Heather had cognitive challenges and walked with a limp due to a car accident in 2015. Despite her struggles, her sister, Mary Williams, said Heather worked hard to live a normal life.
Police believe the car Heather entered might have been driven by someone she met online. They have located the car and identified the driver, but no arrests have been made yet.
Authorities are also investigating a 3-minute phone call Heather made just before she disappeared.
Heather’s family is asking for the public’s help. “Someone knows something,” Mary said. “I pray they come forward so we can get justice for Heather.”
