A suspect has been arrested after a series of stabbings in Denver left two people dead and two others injured over the weekend, according to police.

Caudill is facing charges including first-degree murder of an at-risk elder, first-degree murder, and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Timeline of the Attacks:
- Saturday, January 11, 5:12 p.m.: The first stabbing occurred near 16th Street. The victim, who has not been named, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and got himself to a hospital.
- 5:17 p.m.: A second stabbing happened moments later on the same street but at a different intersection. An adult female victim was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
- Just before 6 p.m.: The third attack occurred at 16th Street and Lawrence Street. An adult male victim was seriously injured but is expected to survive.
- Sunday, January 12, around 8:00 p.m.: A fourth stabbing on 16th Street resulted in the death of an adult male.
Police said they spotted someone matching the suspect’s description running with a knife after the fourth attack. Officers pursued and arrested Caudill.
Investigation:
Authorities said the attacks appear to have been random, with no known connection between Caudill and the victims.
During a press conference on Monday, Mayor Mike Johnston described Caudill as a white male born in Colorado with a history of criminal activity. Denver Police Chief Ron Thomas expressed condolences to the victims and their families and assured residents that the city remains safe.
Caudill is being represented by a public defender. The public defender’s office has declined to comment on the case.
